In an event that was well-attended by friends, fans and music lovers, Afro-soul singer, Aramide, has finally opened her ‘suitcase’, at her album listening party that took place at the Fuse Lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Explaining the uniqueness of the album title, she said “when you are going on a journey, the first thing you think about is a ‘Suitcase’, and that is why my debut album is titled Suitcase.
According to the artist, “the ‘Suitcase’ is filled with emotions, love, society, appreciation, God, my journey, heartbreak and I want everyone to come with me on this journey”.
With the debut album slated for release on November 22, 2016, Aramide hinted fans that “there is more to come when the album is released”.
Aramide started her music quest in 2006, when she contested in one of Nigeria’s most prestigious talent hunt shows, Star Quest.
Since then, she has slowly carved her own niche and is already being ranked among other industry A-listers such as Tiwa-Savage and Yemi Alade.
She also bagged the honourable Best Female Western Africa Act, at the 2016 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 3.0, which took place on Sunday, November 6, 2016.
