darey1Singer, Darey Art Alade, reveals that his classic ‘Pray For Me’, featuring Soweto Gospel Choir, was inspired by the relationship breakdown of pop duo, P-square.

He explained to Channels Television that although it was inspired by them, it went beyond their story.

The song according to him, centers on independence, ones sojourn in life, trying to find your way and the efforts of ‘Nigerian’ parents especially, in trying to put their children on the right path.

It follows the brave sojourn of the coming of age of an African young man and his quest to find his path to success.

Darey also praised the Soweto Gospel Choir who he said featured on a couple of other songs off his 2015 ‘Naked’ album.

Working with them, according to him was as a result of similarities he discovered between himself and the choir, more so, he decided to make it “cross continents”.

Speaking of his career in general, he said that in entertaining an audience one of the best feelings is when they can sing along to your songs.

“It’s a nice feeling especially when you are singing songs that they know and love.”

The multiple award winning singer, whose fourth studio album, produced the single ‘Pray for Me’, still continues to bask in the accolades received from the critically acclaimed song.
