Former Osun Gov, Bisi Akande Loses Wife

A former Governor of Osun State and former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief Bisi Akande has lost his wife, Mrs Omowumi Akande to the hands of death.

Channels TV gathered that Mrs Akande had been ill for sometime and was receiving treatment but she was reported to have been rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan in Oyo State before she finally succumbed to death on July 12.

Although the nature of the sickness has not been made public, a source within the hospital premises who pleaded anonymity said she was brought in to the hospital dead.

Mr Akande who served as the Governor of Osun State between 1999 and 2003, was the pioneer chairman of the Ruling APC.
