Lagos Council Chairmanship Aspirant Dies In Auto Crash

The chairmanship aspirant of the Ikotun/Igando Local Council Development Area, Shakiru Balogun has died.

Balogun, who was a former Chairman of the National Union of Local Government Employees of the LCDA and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) died after an accident involving a PSP truck and his vehicle con the eve of local government council election in Lagos State.

Reports say the 52-year-old aspirant was on his way to the council secretariat around 12:00 pm on Friday when the driver of the PSP truck lost control and rammed into his Toyota 4runner at Okofili Bus Stop, LASU-Isheri Road.
