The Federal Government through the Ecological Fund Office has visited Ondo State to identify critical ecological sights in the state.
The leader of the delegation, Mrs Esifa Akon while paying a courtesy visit to the Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who was represented by his deputy, Agboola Ajayi said the visit was happening in other states of the country.
Akon pointed out that the team had visited all the 18 Local Governments in the state and already identified all the critical ecological sights and those that need urgent attention.
She noted that all the prone areas had been documented for onward transmission to the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) through the fund office.
Responding, Akeredolu commended the team for doing their jobs diligently and thoroughly.
He noted that the state is a peaceful one and the team is always welcome to the state.
The Governor further commended the Federal Government for various intervention programmes to help states in the country in tackling environmental challenges.
