Spaniard Raul Llorente has signed a one-year deal with Australian A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers, the club said on Monday.

The left-back, who can also play as a winger, joins the former Asian Champions League winners from Greek side Platanias.

Llorente, 31, spent nine seasons in Spain with Atletico Madrid, Alaves, Xerez and Tenerife before moving to Greece.

He becomes the Wanderers’ third Spanish signing of the off-season, joining Oriol Riera and Alvaro Cejudo.

The A-League season kicks off on October 6.
