The candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Salisu Isansi has defeated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Aminu Chindo to win the Federal Constituency seat in Katsina.
The Returning Officer for the House of Representatives election in the state, Dr. Godwin Ojochogu said Isansi polled 58,314 votes to defeat his closest contender, Aminu Chindo of the PDP who polled 21,454 votes.

In the meantime, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Abdullahi Barkiya of the All Progressives Congress, APC as the winner of Katsina Central Senatorial district election.
The Returning Officer, Professor Rasheed Adedayo who announced the result in Katsina on Sunday, said Barkiya polled 340,800 votes to defeat Hamisu Gambo of PDP, who scored 124,372 votes.
