Former Delta Governor Uduaghan Loses Senatorial Bid

Former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan (file)

A former Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been defeated in the Delta South senatorial race.

Independent National Electoral Commission’s Returning Officer in charge of the area, Prof. Oladipupo Adesina of the University of Benin, declared the result on Tuesday morning.

Incumbent Senator James Manager of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) beat Uduaghan by securing 258,812 votes. The former governor polled less than half of the figure with 125,776 votes.
