The Office of the National Productivity Centre (NPC) in Abuja, the nation’s capital was on Wednesday gutted by fire.
Speaking to Channels Television, the NPC Director-General, Kashim Akot, explained that the fire was caused by an electric surge in one of the sockets in the upper building of the office.
He, however, noted that although the fire ravaged some parts of the first floor of the building, no lives were lost.
According to him, so many important data were lost during the unfortunate incident.
