The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has called on Nigerians to cooperate with the soon-to-be-inaugurated leaders to enable them to transform the country for good.

While delivering his address during the 2023 Presidential Inauguration Public Lecture at the National Mosque, Abuja, on Friday, Mustapha noted that elections had come and gone and that a new set of leaders had been democratically elected.

“It is our duty to give them all the necessary cooperation to enable them to deliver their plans towards transforming Nigeria into the country of our dreams,” he said.

The SGF argued that the past and present difficulties Nigeria has encountered within the economic, security, political, and social sectors were not peculiar to the country alone.

For him, the challenges are, instead, a global phenomenon with the ever-present potential to make the country great.

“Experiences such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the downturn in oil prices in the world market, and the present Russia-Ukraine crisis, how they were managed, have shown how Nigeria always can come out of difficult situations stronger when the determination is there,” Mustapha said.
