The inspector general stated that the police would improve efforts to maintain law and order, especially as the nation prepares to mark the 2023 Democracy Day.

Baba asked the police managers to develop proactive measures to forestall any untoward acts.

Last Thursday, the NLC said it would embark on a nationwide strike on Wednesday as fuel prices skyrocketed across the country occasioned by President Bola Tinubu’s inaugural speech in which he declared that “fuel subsidy is gone”.
