Woman Found Lifeless Inside Ogun Canal, Police Begin Probe

 

The Ogun State police command has confirmed the death of a 34-year-old woman near a piggery farm in Ijebuode, Ijebuode Local Government Area of the state.

The woman was said to have gone missing last Thursday before her lifeless was discovered on Friday in a shallow canal.

It was gathered that the 34-year-old woman left home on Thursday and did not return, a development which raised suspicion among members of her family.

Confirming the incident, the command’s spokesperson Omolola Odutola said the circumstance leading to her death was still unclear as there were no marks of violence on her body.

She, however, said that a plastic bag containing an unidentified liquid was found at the scene of her death.

The spokesperson assured that investigations have been launched to unravel the circumstances behind her death

Her remains have, however, been deposited at the state hospital mortuary in Ijebuode for autopsy.
