“This is to see how the project is supporting increased retention and return to school, especially for secondary school students.

“Part of this activity is to identify communities where there is decline in enrollment or low transition to secondary schools so that we conduct mobilisation campaign so that we will do our best to provide what is required to make the school environment conducive for teaching and learning,” Shehu added.

In his remarks, the member representing Katsina Local Government Area in the state House of Assembly Ali Albaba underscored the role of education especially on the girl child whether formal or informal which he said cannot be overemphasized.

According to him, it’s with education that human being can contest for any political position.

“The importance of education is too numerous to mention especially on the girl child that are left behind.

“Take for instance, the state education commissioner will not have been appointed by the governor if she’s not educated. It’s with education that you can go to any country without asking anyone anywhere,” he noted.
