Lucy Abagi Appointed CEO Of PPDC, Receives High Praise From Amb Meshack-Hart

Meshack-Hart expressed confidence in Abaga's ability to lead PPDC to even greater achievements.


 

 

Ambassador Kalada Belema Meshack-Hart, Convener of the Africa Women Summit and Executive Director, Engage Empower Educate Initiative, has congratulated Lucy Abaga, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC).

Abaga, who previously served as Programs Director at Connected Development (CODE), has been recognized for her remarkable journey from a volunteer to the helm of one of Nigeria’s key development organizations.

In his congratulatory message, Meshack-Hart brought to the fore Abagi’s dedication and resilience throughout her career, stressing that her rise to this prestigious position is well-deserved.

“Congratulations, Lucy Abagi, on your appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Public and Private Development Centre. The appointment is indeed well-deserved,” Meshack-Hart wrote in a terse statement.

He further stated that Abagi’s career trajectory is a testament to her commitment to excellence.

Starting as a volunteer at CODE in September 2017, Abagi quickly ascended through various roles, including Programs Officer, Programs Lead, Senior Programs Manager, and finally, Programs Director.

Meshack-Hart expressed confidence in Abagi’s ability to lead PPDC to even greater achievements.

“It comes as no surprise that you have risen to this position. I am confident in your ability to deliver and surpass expectations in your new role at PPDC,” he said.

He stated that Abagi’s appointment marks the beginning of an even more significant impact under her leadership.

“Indeed, this is only just the beginning. This is the start of greater and more impactful initiatives. I have no doubt that under your guidance, PPDC will soar to new heights,” Meshack-Hart added.

As Abagi steps into her new role, Meshack-Hart acknowledged the experiences that have shaped her leadership journey.
