All roads will lead to the beautiful and serene Campus of Hezekiah University situated in the pristine town of Ishiala Umudi in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th March 2025, as the University (the First Private University in Imo State) popularly called: ” The University of the Moment” holds its Maiden Convocation in the University premises.
The faith-based University founded and promoted by His Grace, the Most Reverend Professor Daddy Hezekiah O.O.N, the Founder/Leader of Living Christ Mission Incorporated Worldwide, is famously known for its strong quest for academic excellence spiced up with good morals, which it has as its motto. The University which commenced academic activities with ten programmes has successfully expanded to nineteen programmes with all fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
In the area of infrastructure, Hezekiah University has an array of world-class, fully-equipped classrooms, science laboraties, a Language Laboratory, a Moot Court, Radio/ Television studios, an Olympic – like Sports Complex, and exquisitely furnished hostels. The icing on the cake is the fact that students graduate within the set time for their various programmes because the staff members are not only paid promptly but also enjoy mouthwatering welfare packages from the Management. This mainly accounts for why there is no disruption of academic calendar via industrial actions by staff.

As the University celebrates its Maiden Convocation, it is note – worthy that students from Hezekiah University have over the years won many academic prizes both locally and internationally, a cast-iron testament to the high quality of research and learning in the University.
The two–day, epoch-making Convocation events will commence on Friday, 7th March 2025, with a top-notch Convocation Lecture entitled: “Paradigm Shift, Soliloquy and Fungibility of Stemming the Tide of Education in Nigeria: Opportunities Missed and Paths not Taken”, to be delivered by Professor Aloysius – Micheals Okolie, the Vice – Chancellor, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, at 11 am at the University Academic Complex and the commissioning of newly – completed projects, like the two giant ultra modern hostels; the massive University Academic Complex the magnificent; Law Faculty Building and the Inauguration of the Alumni Officers, among others; and end on Saturday, 8th March 2025, with the award of First Degree and Conferment of Honorary Degrees on some eminent personalities at 10 am. The Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma is expected to grace the occasion.
