Drama has erupted again between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, as both trade fresh accusations involving drug abuse, assault, and manipulation.
The public feud, which reignited in October 2025, has now taken a new turn, with both parties publishing lengthy posts on social media to defend themselves.
Nwoko, who represents the Delta North Senatorial District, claimed that his estranged wife struggled with drug addiction and that her siblings frustrated her rehabilitation efforts.
In contrast, Regina accused the 64-year-old lawmaker of physical and sexual abuse, manipulation, and using his influence to arrest her family members.
Drug Abuse Allegation
In a detailed post and videos shared on X (formerly Twitter), Nwoko claimed he had spent millions supporting Regina’s family, including ₦125 million to her mother, Rita Daniels, and sponsorship of her brother Sammy’s education.
The senator alleged that Regina’s “dependence on certain illegal substances” caused her “erratic behaviour” and that her siblings and friends routinely sabotaged her treatment.
“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff, especially whenever I was not around.
“This is someone I sponsored through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma. I bought his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja, in addition to the house I bought for Regina in Asaba before our marriage.
“I also routinely provided allowances to all members of the family, including her mother, Rita Daniel. Indeed, in the last two years, I have a record of transferring ₦125 million to her alone,” he wrote.

Nwoko said he had arranged for Regina’s rehabilitation after observing troubling changes in her behaviour.
“When Regina started her rehabilitation, there was a clear instruction by the doctors to restrict people, especially her enablers, from accessing her.
“Unfortunately, Sammy, Destiny, some siblings, and friends constantly defied those instructions. They brought her the same drugs she was being treated for, frustrating her recovery,” he explained.

The senator alleged that Regina’s friends and relatives introduced her to drugs, citing specific names and incidents.
“Lawrence, Sammy, his girlfriend NK, Destiny, and others also took the same drugs as Regina,” he claimed. “Lawrence and Sammy were the ones who first introduced and supplied these drugs to her.”
‘Family Harassment’
Nwoko recounted several altercations, including one where he said Sammy stormed his residence after his girlfriend was asked to leave.
“Thirty minutes later, Sammy came to my house shouting and demanding that I come downstairs to face him. He was ranting and threatening, waking everyone, including the children.
“Without the influence of drugs, could he have been so bold and disrespectful?” the senator wrote.
He also described Regina’s alleged late-night outings and erratic behaviour as signs of addiction.
“There were at least two serious incidents where she left home and didn’t return until the next day. When asked, she casually said she was at a nightclub. I took so much nonsense just for the sake of the kids,” Nwoko wrote.

The senator insisted he neither drank alcohol nor smoked, saying he was a vegetarian who disapproved of such habits.

“Imagine the pain of a husband trying to help his wife recover, only to have the process sabotaged by her siblings and friends,” he lamented.
He also denied claims that he sent thugs to assault Regina, describing the viral video as “a pure Nollywood scenario filmed in front of my house in my absence.”
“Nobody was beaten. It is blatantly false to say that I sent thugs to beat Regina in another house,” he said.
‘Abuse, Manipulation’
Hours later, Regina responded via Instagram, accusing Nwoko of lying and attempting to destroy her family’s image.
“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You have always tried to cut my family off because of the bond we share, and now you’re trying to make them look bad for no reason,” she wrote.

The actress admitted she once used drugs but claimed Nwoko encouraged it.
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? You are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high. You liked me that way because it made me wild and romantic, exactly how you wanted me to be,” she said.
The 24-year-old further accused Nwoko of locking her up, seizing her phones, and forcing her to take injections meant for people with bipolar disorder whenever she tried to leave the marriage.
“Why don’t you tell them how you force yourself on me whenever I say no. Why don’t you tell them how you lock me up, seize my phones, and suddenly declare me ‘mentally unstable’ the moment I say I no longer want to be in this relationship?” she wrote.
‘Not Legally Married’
The couple’s relationship, which began in 2019 when Regina was 18 years old, has produced two children.
But in her post, Regina further denied being legally married to Nwoko and stated that she would have long divorced the senator.
“I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us.
“We were never married in any court of law, and no documents were signed. Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force,” she said.

The feud intensified after Regina accused Nwoko of orchestrating the arrest and detention of her brother, Samuel “Sammy West” Daniels, under suspicious circumstances.
She claimed her brother was arrested on Nwoko’s orders and later remanded at Suleja Prison in Niger State.
In a video, Regina expressed despair over his continued detention, saying she was willing to return to her marriage if that would secure his release.
The Nigeria Police Force later confirmed Sammy West’s arrest, saying it was linked to a petition alleging conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.

Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, also joined the dispute, accusing Nwoko of marrying her daughter for fame and political advantage.
She alleged that Regina supported Nwoko’s senatorial campaign with $50,000, insisting her daughter contributed more to the marriage than she received.
“People call my daughter a gold digger, but Ned benefited more from her than the other way around,” Rita claimed in a viral video.
Their public exchanges have sparked reactions across social media, with both sides maintaining firm but conflicting narratives.
As of the latest update, Nwoko has not responded to Regina’s newest claims, while the actress continues to post updates online, vowing to protect her family and children despite the escalating crisis.
