Automaker Stellantis is recalling 700,000 vehicles worldwide over a fire risk, including cars from the Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Jeep brands, according to the website of the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), with more than 50,000 vehicles affected in Germany. Stellantis, which communicates only on a country-by-country basis, said on April 1, 2026 that the recall concerned 212,000 vehicles manufactured between 2023 and 2026 in France, more than half of them Peugeot models, after 36 incidents linked to the problem were recorded worldwide, including 12 cases of fire.
