In one of the most talked-about bouts in Nigeria’s influencer boxing circuit, content creator and streamer Carter Efe delivered a composed, clinical performance to defeat street-pop singer Portable by unanimous decision at Chaos in the Ring 4, ending his unbeaten celebrity boxing streak.
The highly publicised bout, staged at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, drew widespread attention across Nigeria’s entertainment space, fuelled by weeks of heated exchanges and a reported ₦50 million prize incentive.
Portable came into the fight with momentum and bravado, having recorded previous wins over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington. His reputation for chaos in the ring, combined with his outspoken pre-fight confidence, positioned him as the favourite.
But once the bell rang, the narrative shifted.

Efe, making his boxing debut, relied less on theatrics and more on discipline. He weathered Portable’s early aggression in the opening round, keeping his guard tight while picking his moments to counter. His use of reach and timing quickly disrupted Portable’s flow.

As the contest progressed, Efe began to take control. His punches were more economical and precise, particularly to the body, while Portable’s attacks grew increasingly erratic.
The singer’s trademark wild swings and attempts to close the distance were repeatedly neutralised by Efe’s measured footwork and cleaner combinations.
By the closing stages, the outcome appeared inevitable. Efe dictated the pace, landing the more telling blows and finishing the fight with greater composure. All three judges scored the contest 30–27 in his favour.
The fight itself was the culmination of a volatile build-up that saw both men engage in intense face-offs and public exchanges. Portable’s usual theatrics contrasted sharply with Efe’s calmer demeanour, a difference that ultimately played out in the ring.
In the aftermath, Efe celebrated the victory as a defining moment, while Portable questioned aspects of the bout, maintaining his characteristic defiance despite the loss.
In reaction, organiser, Soso Soberekon wrote on IG, “Congratulations to me and my partner @eazy_adamu for putting together the biggest boxing event Nigeria has ever seen. 2billion views on all platform!!! Lagos was on fire last night — history made, energy unmatched, legacy sealed.”
