The Acting Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Mr Imohimi Edgal has named reggae-dance-hall singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy as the brain behind an attack on an artiste, Abiye Jumbo, a.k.a Mr 2Kay.
Mr 2Kay was reportedly attacked by a gang on October 22, 2017, in his room at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island after performing in the 2face’s ‘Buckwyld N Breathless’ concert held in the facility.
The assailants had disguised as room service officials to gain entry into the singer’s room.
They were reported to have beaten him up and dispossessed him of a wristwatch, gold jewelry, phones, among other valuables estimated at millions of naira, at gunpoint, after which they fled.

The CP, Imohimi, who appeared on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, on Tuesday said that he was deeply worried when he got the report considering the security architecture in the hotel.
He, however, added that the CCTV footage helped him and his men in unravelling the circumstance surrounding the incident.
“I went there personally, we pulled out the CCTV footage. We did some interviews and eventually, we were able to arrest one of the girlfriends of the gang members.
“Her name is Mutajero Nimota (f), she now helped us to arrest three other suspects – Balogun Ademola, Obinna Igwe, Omotore Tunmise, they are all students.
“When they were interrogated, they stated that it was one Damini Ogulu a.k.a Burna Boy who contracted them not only to rob the victim but also to teach him a lesson,” he said.
