Nigerian singer Ajibola Danladi, popularly known as Danny Young, has stated that he played a pivotal role in pioneering the musical style of singers Seyi Vibez and Asake.

In a viral video shared on social media, Danny Young discussed Asake’s recent accomplishments with his friends and claimed credit for initiating the style of music that the duo Seyi Vibez and Asake now produce.

The ‘Money Power Respect’ crooner said, “Our music don go international. I feel very happy for the likes of Asake and Seyi Vibez, those guys dey try.

“I was the one who started that music, the style, the catchphrases, the street vibes. Anytime you hear those catchphrases, you should know it was me, no doubt.”

“But you know say na me start that music, the style, the lamba, the streets, the tune. I love and I am happy about what they are doing today.

“Anytime wey you dey hear those lamba, make you know say na me be the reason why you dey hear am.”
