Koye Shotade is Head, Entertainment & Lifestyle at Channels Television.

He joined Channels Television Lagos at first, in 1996. Koye has over the years developed Programme and Story ideas for daily and weekly packages, evolved and conducted researches and involved in news gathering, copy tasting and production; presentation and Heading a desk.

He studied at the Ogun State Polytechnic, University of Lagos and University of Bedfordshire.

His broadcasting career started as a presenter with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (Radio O-Y-O). Following which, He joined the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria(Radio Nigeria) as Features & Current Affairs Producer. He then worked as a Producer/Presenter with OGBC/OGTV. He has also worked as a production assistant on several Deutsche Welle (Germany) Features/Documentary, which included ‘Women in Development – Nigeria’.
As one who is keen to continually learn, koye has made visits and internships at CNN in London & in Atlanta, DW in Germany, YLE in Finland and the BBC News 24/Africa Service in Holborn.

He had spell in the United Kingdom for years, where his career path broadened to include the retail financial services sector and He worked with FTS (Member of the Cardiff Group, A BNP Paribas Company); Halifax Bank of Scotland; Marks & Spencer Bank, and the UK Retail Banking Network of Barclays Bank. Through these roles, He has gained invaluable and highly transferable skills within World Class Business operations.
