Nollywood Actress, Omoge Campus, Buried In Canada

Nollywood actress Aisha Abimbola, popularly known as ‘Omoge Campus’ has been buried in Canada according to Islamic rites.

She was buried at exactly 2:30 p.m Canadian time which is Nigerian time on Thursday, May 17.

The pictures from the burial were shared on social media by her colleague, Lola Alao, who was also at the burial.

The actress died on Wednesday, a news which took most of her colleagues by surprise.

Odunlade Ademola, Jide Kosoko, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Bisola Badmus, Toyin Abraham, Bisola Badmus, Ronke Odusanya among other top Nollywood artistes took to their social media handles on Wednesday to express shock over the news of Aisha’s death.

She died of cancer at the age of 42.

Nollywood Mourns As ‘Omoge Campus’ Dies

Various Nollywood celebrities have taken to social media to express shock over the death of their colleague, Aisha Abimbola, popularly known as Omoge Campus.

The popular Yoruba actress, died in a Canadian hospital on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

Abimbola’s death has thrown many into shock including her colleagues who have taken to social media to mourn her.

Odunlade Adekola in a post on his verified Instagram handle @odunomoadekola wrote, “Omg, so sad.” Bisola Badmus, another Nollywood actress who is a close friend of Abimbola also posted “Gone so soon, RIP Omoge Campus,” on her Instagram page.

Toyin Abraham also on social media used prayer emoji and said “Goodnight,” while Ronke Odusanya in her post said she is still in shock over the news of Abimbola’s death.

Deeply moved by the news of Abimbola’s death, Actor, Kunle Afod, likened this to the death of another Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya, who died last year also in Canada.

Afod also posted a short video of Abimbola acting the role of an old woman, with the caption, “Will really miss you.”

Abimbola shot into limelight with her role in the movie, “Omoge Campus.” Produced in 2001 by Bola Igida. She has featured in other movies and Television series.
