yeroooThe Kaduna State Government has concluded arrangements to strengthen its bilateral relationship with North Korea for economic growth and development of the state.

Governor Mukhtar Yero, while receiving the North Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, Jong Yong Chol in his office said that the bilateral relationship would focus on industrial development, agriculture, education and other commercial interests that would improve the state’s economic activities.

Governor Yero said that the state would soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that would facilitate and further strengthen the ties.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment towards sustaining a peaceful atmosphere in the state, in order to further attract investors to tap from the abundant potentials in the state.

Earlier, the Ambassador of North Korea to Nigeria, Mr Jong Yong Chol, said that the visit was to further expand and consolidate the relationship between his country and Nigeria.

Speaking through an interpreter, the Ambassador commended the State Government for its efforts in sustaining peaceful atmosphere, infrastructural development, education and economic growth in the state.

Mr. Chol said that he had earlier visited Zamfara and Niger states to assess potentials for bilateral relationship, particularly in ICT, agriculture and health.
