china blastA large industrial area in Tianjin, China continues to smolder, two days after two massive explosions were experienced there.

A team of military chemical experts are currently at the scene, testing for toxic gases, as rescuers have been ordered to wear protective clothing.

At least 50 people died and more than 700 were injured, 71 critically, in the explosions on Wednesday evening.

Meanwhile, search teams found a survivor in the debris this morning. He is Zjou Ti, a 19-year-old fire-fighter.

Officials said earlier that 17 fire-fighters were among the dead and 18 others were said to be missing.

The blasts happened in a warehouse storing ‘dangerous and chemical goods’ in the port area of the city.
