Willie-ObianoThe Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has assured of prompt mobilization for the work being done on the thirty kilometer Amansea-Ndiukwuenu road with twenty eight culverts and three bridges to ensure appreciable construction before the rains come.

He made the assurance while inspecting the road from Awa to Awgbu axis in which he expressed satisfaction on the quality of the ongoing construction.

The road when completed will open up all the agricultural communities in Anambra South and Central Senatorial zones as well as link up over ten communities including Enugu state.

Mr. Freddie De Klein, explained that two out of the three bridges on the thirty kilometer road are in advanced stage while construction is yet to begin on the third one.

Responding to the challenges of funds raised by the project coordinator, the governor expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and assured of prompt mobilization in order for work to be expedited on time.

The governor also inspected the Bailey bridge at Okpeze, which is the third bridge and no construction had commenced.

The inspection tour came to an end but not without a visit to Igbariam where one of the many agro-companies that signed MOUs with the state government last year had commenced cultivation.

Songhai-Delfarm farms at Igbariam has the mandate to develop one thousand hectares of land but presently two hundred hectares had been cleared with sorghum, banana and pawpaw blossoming rapidly.

There are high hopes and assurances from the investor that in six months time, the entire one thousand hectares would have been cultivated and with a good road network as packaged by the state government, evacuation of products will not pose any challenge.
