The Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano, says he is committed to the expansion of Operation Light up Anambra project to reach every part of the state.
The governor stated this while switching on the eight kilometer Nibo and four kilometer Anaocha Street Light projects, ensuring that other infrastructural developments in the state are ongoing.
The occasion also presented an opportunity for the governor to appeal to the people to take ownership of the facilities put in place for them to ensure that nobody vandalizes them.
He further assured of his continuous commitment to improving the welfare of the people of the state in every ramification and urged them to take ownership of the project towards its protection from vandals.
The street light projects will encourage night life, boost evening businesses and reduce night-time dangers, as it is an added advantage to the security operatives in manning the communities at night effectively.
