The Speaker of House of Representative, Aminu Tambuwal has commissioned the new office complex of Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) and the New Industrial market, located in Umuahia.

Governor Theodore Orji, speaking at the ceremony said that the infrastructure, located in Umuahia, the state capital, were embarked upon by his administration to help in sustaining a healthy environment and boosting the economy of the state.

The Governor said that the office complex of ASEPA will now provide an effective conducive working environment for the workers, to enable them keep the state clean. While, the New Industrial market would encourage expansion needed for growth in trade and commerce.

Addressing the delegation led by Rt.Hon Aminu Tambuwal, Governor Orji said the infrastructure were built as a result of the desire and commitment to provide a healthy conducive environment that would support growth of business.

Tambuwal commended Orji for his leadership prowess by ensuring that peace and unity remains priority of his government, which has accommodated other ethnic groups living in the state.

ASEPA boss, Ikechukwu Apugo promised the governor that his team will deliver on their mandate and assured that they are up to the task.

The new industrial market is historic as it would offer a conducive environment for business owners to expand their trade, a decision that brought to an end a long time land dispute that existed between two villages over the years as they willingly donate the land for the projects which would benefit the State.
