There was tight security across Plateau State as Muslims marked Eid el Fitri and Christians observed Sunday service in their respective churches.
According to Punch newspaper, many roads were blocked in Jos, the state capital, forcing many adherents to trek to places of worship.
Security agents mounted sentry at strategic locations, to guard against extremist attacks.
Worshippers were barred from carrying bags into worship centres while praying mats were scanned by security agents.
The Special Task Force had on Friday barred Muslims from using the Polo and Rukuba praying grounds.
They also warned residents against loitering around worship centres.
