The National President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), Alhaji Yerima Shettima has welcomed Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s rejection of his nomination to  negotiate for Boko Haram.

Mr Shettima, on Channels TV Sunrise Daily, asked why out of all leaders in the north, Major-General Buhari, as an opposition leader was the one found worthy of the nomination by the unidentified group.

He claimed that the nomination has a “political undertone”, adding that after a proper analysis of the situation, it can be concluded that there is a gimmick by some people who make these things up.
