The Osun state government has announced plans to give late Chief kayode Eso a state burial.
Chairman of the State Burial Committee, Hon Oguntola Toogun, who disclosed this in Osogbo the state capital also revealed that burial arrangements have begun in earnest.
He said “The government is interested in organising a befitting passage for him because of the landmark judgements that stood him out as an exceptional jurist”.
He described the late jurist as “not only a courageous and fearless judge, he was also known for his brilliant illuminating judgements”
Toogun said the burial ceremony will take place on Friday 21st December 2012 at the Cathedral Holy Trinity, Omofe, Ilesa. The lying in state will be held on Thursday at the State Secretariat in Osogbo.
Eso, who was a retired justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, passed on in Britain aged 87.
