The House of Representatives has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to re-double his efforts as the country’s chief security officer.
The House reached this resolution after considering a motion on the brutal killing of the Kwara State commissioner of police, Chinwike Asadu in Enugu, South East Nigeria.
Condemning the killing, the House also urged the Inspector General of Police to ensure that the mystery surrounding the killing is not left unresolved as the case of other high profile killings in the country.
The lawmakers also asked that the installation of CCTV cameras should be encouraged in all state capitals and all public places.
