A new Head of Service will emerge on Thursday following the expiration of the tenure of Isa Bello Sani.
In what looks like a valedictory session in his honour, before the Federal Executive Council meeting President Goodluck Jonathan described the outgoing head of service as a man of honour whose tenure is expiring at a time the nation needed him most.
The president however charged him to be ready to contribute his experience anytime he is called upon to do so. In their own speeches the Ministers of Information, Labaran Maku and the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Amal Pepple described Mr Bello as a man of few words whose contributions to council deliberations will be missed.
The council meeting also saw the swearing in of three new Permanent Secretaries in the federal civil service. The new Permanent Secretaries are Habiba Lawal, John Chukwu, and Winifred Oyo-Ita.
President Jonathan advised the new Permanent Secretaries to bring their experience to bear in the reform programmes going on in the federal civil service.
