It was another unhappy day for Nigeria as Kano Pillars after Lobi Stars’ exit in the Orange CAF Champions League as Pillars was clawed out of the tournament by unexpected winners of the return leg AC Leopards of Congo Brazzaville.

AC Leopards put up a remarkable fight at home in Brazzaville to emerge victors after they fell 4-1 to Kano Pillars in Nigeria some weeks ago.

Already touted to be knocked off, AC Leopards snatched a place among the last 16 as AC Leopards converted a stoppage-time penalty at home to beat Kano Pillars 3-0 and succeeded in booking a place in the round of 16 on away-goal rule.
