Four more fleeing prison inmates have been arrested at their hideout in the Okitipupa area of Ondo state.

With this arrest, a total of 58 out of the 175 convicts who escaped from the prison in Akure, the state capital has been recaptured.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo state, Mr Wole Ogodo confirmed that the re-arrested escapees have been returned to prison.

The prison authorities announced a jail-break in which 175 inmates fled the facility on Sunday.

During the incident a prison warden was shot by the invaders who carried out the attack.
