The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, has constituted an investigation team to look into the political crisis that rocked Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State during the week.

The team, which is led by the command’s Assistant Commissioner of Police in Charge of Investigation, ACP Aminu Alhassan, is to investigate the remote and immediate causes of the crisis.

The CP ordered the team to arrest or invite those concerned or indicted in the crisis and forward to him its report within a week.

In a press statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Muyiwa Adejobi, the command advised politicians to play politics with decorum and in line with the ethics of politics as a profession.

He noted that those involved in any form of political thuggery or crisis would not be spared in anyway.

The Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has since absolved himself of any involvement in the attacks.
