Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar said today that the real troubles of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are yet to come alleging that its new chairman, Adamu Mu’azu, cannot save the party from its numerous problems.

He also disclosed that President Goodluck Jonathan has never consulted him over the problems rocking the PDP.

Atiku, who  spoke  during  an interview with Kaduna based  Liberty Radio station,  said he completely aligns himself with the issues raised by former president Olusegun Obasanjo, who recently in an open letter to President Goodluck Jonathan, criticised  Jonathan’s  failure in managing the affairs of the country.

“I don’t think the end of PDP’s trouble is over with Bamanga Tukur’s ouster.

“I don’t think so; the troubles of the PDP are yet to come. I don’t think Bamanga is the trouble, I don’t think Bamanga is the issue.” He said.

On the emergence of Mr Muazu as PDP national Chairman, the former Vice President said there is little or nothing the new chairman can do to end the crisis in the ruling party, describing the PDP as representing the conservative wing of the electoral divide while the APC represents the social democratic wing of the nation’s political divide.

While denying sponsoring the emergence of the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM), Atiku said he will make his next political destination known to Nigerians after concluding consultations with his supporters across the country.

He also pointed out that he never dumped the PDP, but  was forced  out by Obasanjo, adding that  ever since his return to the party four years ago, he has neither been recognised nor been admitted into its Board of Trustees, the National Executive Committee, the Caucus or any high level arm of the party.
