The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party has vowed to capture power in the 2015 governorship election, expressing its readiness to provide good governance for the people of the state.
The State Chairman of the PDP, Iyiola Oyedepo, stated this while briefing journalists on the plan of the party to provide an alternative government to the people of the state.
He added that the party would provide a platform of unity, love, fairness and justice in the heterogeneous community of the state, while core values, integrity and selfless service would be accorded priority.
Kwara State is currently being governed by Abdulfatah Ahmed, who won the election on the platform of the PDP in 2011, and decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2013.
