The Gbagyi Community in Nasarawa State have declared their support for the uncommon transformation programmes of Governor Tanko Al-Makura led administration and endorsed him for another term in office.
The Gbagyi ethnic group, drawn from Toto and Nasarawa Local Government Areas listed the free education policy, health care and road infrastructure of the government as reasons for declaring their support for the governor’s second term bid.
Led by the traditional ruler of the Gbagyi community in the state, the Dada-Yakwo Of Nakwuse of Gbagyi, Ishaku Auta, canvassed for support for the governor ahead of the 2015 general elections to enable him deliver more dividends of democracy to the state.
Governor Al-Makura, who applauded the Gbagyi communities, noted that the Gbagyi’s remain a major political block whose support base for his administration.
The Mighili tribe while demanding for the implementation of the white paper on the 2012 Agyaragu crisis last week also declared total support for Al-Makura’s re-election.
