As schools set to resume nationwide, Ogba Junior High School, Lagos, has been given a clean bill of health by the Lagos State Government.

This was after the incidences of gaseous emission earlier in the year which led to some students being hospitalised.

The General Manager of Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Engineer Adebola Shabi, gave the hint when Channels Television paid him a visit at his office.

He said that the agency had carried out some evacuation at the school premises and also done some routine checks to ensure the students’ safety.

In the same vein, the Commissioner for Education, Mrs Olayinka Oladunjoye, as well as the State Emergency Management Agency boss, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, both assured parents of a thorough job done at the school.

Over 20 students and two teachers of Ogba Junior School passed out after inhaling fumes of toxic chemicals discharged into drainage around the school’s premises.
