It has been widely reported that over 40 people died. However, the principal of the school told Channels Television off camera that the death toll of the attack is 35.
According to the principal 26 injured students were rushed to the Potiskum General Hospital for treatment, when Channels Television visited the hospital it revealed that only one of the student is still remaining in the hospital as the other 25 students have been discharged.
For parents who lost their children its even more heartbreaking as some of them recount the last moments spent with their loved ones.
An appeal has also been made for more security personnel to be sent to the area, as shutting down the school is not enough.
The attack occurred at the Government Science Technical School, Potiskum by a suicide bomber disguised as a student.
