APC Rejects Call For Postponement Of Elections
The opposition party, All Progressives Congress (APC) is rejecting the suggestion by Colonel Dasuki saying that under no circumstance must the elections be scuttled.
The APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, said the call by Colonel Dasuki has exposed what the party describes as a plot by the present administration to push for the postponement of the polls.
The APC is urging the international community, in particular, to urgently extract a commitment from the president that the elections will hold as scheduled next month.
The APC states that Col. Dasuki’s suggestion was meant to buy time for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) campaign to gather steam by tying his call on the delay in PVC distribution.
