The Chief of Army Staff gave the assurance at the first quarterly conference of the Nigerian Army for 2015.
Lieutenant–General Kenneth Minimah said the military would continue to change strategies and restructure its plans as the operations demand to ensure that total victory would be achieved against the sect.
He attributed the recent victory in the north-east to the resilience of the Nigerian soldiers and the improvement in their equipment, welfare and training.
“The Battle Is Won”
He gave the assurance that the trend would continue to ensure that the “battle is won” and that the military would not be humiliated by the insurgents.
The meeting, according to the Chief of Policy and Plans of the Nigerian Army, Major-General Ugu Buzugbe, was to do stocktaking of its operations in the north-east in the last three months.
The meeting was also expected to assist the Nigerian Army prepare for the coming elections, should their services be required as proscribed by law.
