Senator Okowa Wins Governorship Election In Delta

Senator Ifeanyi Okowa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared the winner of the April 11 governorship election in Delta State.

The result was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Professor Bio Nyananyo of the Federal University, Otuoke, at the commission’s headquarters in Okpanam Road, Asaba the state capital.

Professor Nyananyo said that Senator Okowa was declared winner after he had polled a total of 724,680 votes.

The result sheets were duly signed and accepted by the party agents of all candidates in the election.
