oshiomhole_speaksEdo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has led thousands of the All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters on a 10km road walk through major streets of Benin city the Edo State capital, to celebrate victory of the APC in the House of Assembly election held in the state on Saturday.

The “thank you” road show which commenced from Ramat park on Auchi-Abuja road, took the Governor and the party supporters through Ikpoba slope to Ewah and Guobadia streets through Gani Fawehimi layout, down to new Lagos road and new Benin before terminating at the Oba Ovoramwem square, in the heart of the state capital.

Addressing party supporters at the Oba Ovoramwen Square, Governor Oshiomhole said the House of Assembly poll’s victory of the APC was a triumph of the will and resilience of the people.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state has said it would challenge the results of the just concluded general elections at the elections petitions tribunal.

While briefing reporters on Tuesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, the chairman of the PDP in the state, Mr Dan Orbih, said the PDP would remain “the viable opposition party that is determined to give the people an alternative platform for political expression”.
