In his special message to the newly sworn in legislative chamber on Wednesday, Governor Abiola Ajmobi commended the spirit of commitment and oneness, which produced the new leadership despite the fact that three parties were represented in the hallowed chambers.
He urged the lawmakers to do all necessary, within the ambit of the law, to ensure good governance, productivity and equity in all deliberations.
Governor Ajimobi noted that the need to enhance fiscal status of the state had become imperative, advising them collaborate in repositioning the Internally Generated Revenue Drive to put the finances of the state out of the woods.
He added that the rare opportunity that the people had bestowed on his administration for a second term must be a major driving force for better economic, social and political advancement for the entire state.
Honourable Adeyemo, however, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, assuring the state that robust deliberations hinged on the needs of the people would be the hallmark of the 8th Assembly.
