istanbulViolence has flared up again in Turkey’s largest city, Istanbul, with two assailants opening fire outside the U.S. consulate, just hours after a bomb attack on a police station.

No one is reported to have been hurt in the consulate, but at least 10 people were injured in the bomb blast, including three police officers.

Meanwhile, one of the attackers of the consulate has now been arrested.

This onslaught comes at a time of increased tension between Turkey and rebels of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

Two suspected militants have previously been killed in clashes with Police in the district of Sultanbeyli where the attack on the police station took place.
