Students of the University of Calabar (Unical) have staged a protest over what they described as decay in infrastructure in the institution.
Major roads in Calabar, the Cross River State capital in Nigeria’s South-south region were blocked earlier on Monday by undergraduates of the university.
The students told reporters that they were demanding adequate electricity and water supply in the hostels.
Similarly, they called for the reversal of a recent hike in their school fees.
The students appealed to the Federal Government to intervene and ensure better living and study conditions in the institution.
