The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honorable Yakubu Dogara, has showered praises on Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets on their victory over Mexico in the ongoing U-17 World Championship.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Turaki Hassan, the Speaker commended the spectacular performance of the Eaglets in the semi final match in the early hours of Friday.
He said that the players had exhibited the true Nigerian spirit of resilience, handwork and commitment, describing them as “patriots”.
Honorable Dogara said that the Eaglets had made Nigerians proud. The Speaker urged them to bring back the trophy.
He called on all Nigerians to pray for the victory of the Golden Eaglets, as they play the finals against Mali.
