Buhari Condoles With Victims Of Kano Market Fire

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has commiserated with victims of the fire outbreak in the popular Singa Market in Kano.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said Buhari was deeply saddened by the destruction of very valuable goods and property in the inferno.

The statement further stressed that the President shared in the pain and anguish of all hardworking Nigerians who lost their wares and belongings in the unfortunate fire incident.

He assures those who suffered losses from the fire incident that the Federal Government would do all within its powers to support the efforts of the Kano State government to ameliorate their plight.

Property worth millions of Naira were destroyed in the incident.

Although there were no loss of life or injury, eyewitnesses, who spoke to Channels Television off camera, said the fire started from a local tea seller and later spread to other parts of the market.
