Delta PoliceThe Delta State Police Command has paraded suspected ritualists who were arrested by men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for being in possession of a human hand.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Celestina Kalu, paraded the suspected ritualists alongside other suspects on Thursday in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

He disclosed that the gang were nabbed at Issele-Asaba during a stop and search session by the NDLEA for an alleged money-making ritual.

Mr Kalu hinted that the Police had through the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, carried out a sensitisation campaign against cultism.

He said that the Police highlighted the dangers of cultism as a vice in the society and the menace it can cause now and in the future.

The PPRO solicited for the continuous support of members of the public in order to free the society from all forms of vices.

According to one of the suspects who testified to have committed the crime, they were asked to get the human part by an unknown herbalist for money making rituals.
